Expert Lecture on “Digital Signal and Image Processing”

The Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering organized an Expert Lecture on “Digital Signal and Image Processing” on Wednesday, 9th September 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM for the Third Year E&C Engineering students in Room No. 805. The session was delivered by Mr. Suhas Desai, Assistant Professor, Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering, Mahagaon. The expert lecture aimed to provide students with a deeper understanding of the fundamental concepts of digital signals and image processing and their practical applications. The session covered various signal and image processing techniques, along with the use of computational tools for analyzing and processing digital signals and images. The lecture was designed to strengthen students’ Course Outcomes (COs) by enabling them to understand the basics of digital signal and image processing, apply appropriate processing techniques, and use computational tools for basic signal and image processing applications. The session also contributed to the attainment of Program Outcomes (POs), particularly PO1 – Engineering Knowledge, PO2 – Problem Analysis, PO3 – Design/Development of Solutions, PO4 – Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems, and PO5 – Modern Tool Usage. The lecture provided students with valuable technical knowledge and practical insights, helping them connect theoretical concepts with real-world applications in the field of Digital Signal and Image Processing.
